The new management of BOS, including Mariusz Klimczak who has been working at PKO BP, plans to transform the bank into a profitable institution and postulates to put it up for sale later on. The ministry of the treasury have said many times already that the bank will be privatized.
“We don’t want to sell BOS at any price. We are happy that many investors are interested in the bank but final privatization decisions have not been made as yet”, Michal Chyczewski, deputy minister of the treasury said.
There are three potential buyers already, including two foreign ones.
“The bank needs either a strategic investor or a very good restructuring
program”, Michal Chyczewski added.
