BRE Bank’s subsidiary has an insurance license

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – BRE Ubezpieczenia TU, a subsidiary of BRE Bank, received a permission to sell policies.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – BRE Ubezpieczenia TU, a subsidiary of BRE Bank, received a permission to sell policies. 

The first Polish insurance company in two years received a license yesterday. The Financial Supervision Commission (KNF) approved the application of BRE Ubezpieczenia TU submitted in June. The new company is a subsidiary of listed BRE Bank which this year decided to launch operations on the insurance market. The project is worth PLN 33m (EUR 8.6m).

“We hope to start selling the policies in the middle of January. At first, we want to offer car and house insurance”, Jaroslaw Mastalerz, BRE Ubezpieczenia TU CEO said.
