Chemical firms seeks expansion

The Rokita chemical concern from Brzeg Dolny in Lower Silesia is aiming to acquire companies producing the raw materials it needs. In this way it hopes to create a holding over the next two years which will have an annual turnover of up to PLN100m.

Funds for this operation are to be raised through the sale of those companies that broke off from the parent firm in the restructuring process.

Those who have shown an interest in Rokitaís subsidiaries include Nufarm, Dow AgroSciences from the Dow Chemicals group, Atul, Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, Heat & Power Associates, Wilton Interpower, MVV Polska, Alstom Power, MEAG Polska, Fortum Polska, Petro Carbo Chem, Chem Trans Logistic, Dyrekcja Eksploatacji Cystern, Przedsiebiorstwo Transportu Kolejowego and Gospodarki Kamieniem.
