Agriculture minister Jerzy Plewa says in an interview in todayís Puls Biznesu that there is no way that EU proposals made on 15 April can be accepted. The ministry is now working on counter proposals which he says will be negotiated hard for in order to protect the competitiveness of Polish farming. The EU proposals allowed Poland to receive only 25 percent of the grants being received by current members with a ten year transition period to bring it up to full subsidies.
