Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – There are two serious candidates to buy PRInz, Polish construction company focusing in road and railway building.
Polimex Mostostal Siedlce run by Konrad Jaskola officially said it was conducting due diligence in the company. ‘There are several potential investors’, Jerzy Binder, PRInz CEO said. Unofficial sources told ‘Puls Biznesu’ it was only Polimex and French Vinci which are seriously considered as buyers. Vinci owns Warbud construction company in Poland. The company has made it clear it wanted to develop in road and railway market.
Experts expect the Polish company to win. ‘The European Commission has given Poland EUR 13 billion for investments in regional development including environment protection projects. 800 sludge refineries have to be built. This is a very big market. So far Polish companies with their low capitals have had chances to become subcontractors in such projects. If they join forces, their chances grow’, Zbigniew Bachman, the CEO of Polish Chamber of Construction Industry and Trade (PIP-HB) commented. He might be too optimistic. Konrad Jaskola said earlier that his group even merged with PRInz will not have enough capital to take part in larger tenders to build motor ways but will try to win some tenders to build roads and railways.
