Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Russia may soon levy all bans for Polish fruit and vegetables.

According to unofficial sources from Brussels, Russia may soon levy the ban for imports of Polish fruit and vegetables. Earlier, it had levied the ban for Polish meat. Then, it agreed to again import plants used by the industry. Official documents concerning fruit and vegetables are supposed to be signed at the end of March. Before the ban was implemented, Polish fruit and vegetable exports amounted to EUR 300m annually.

“Levying the export limits would be very good for Polish producers. Before the embargo was implemented, we used to export to Russia over 200,000 tons of apples only. We will wait with comments, however, until details of the agreement are revealed”, Andrzej Kalicki from FAMMU foundation said.
