In result, the WIG20 index rose 2.68 percent while WIG added 1.79 percent. However, only 50 percent of the companies listed in Poland ended up while mWIG40 gained just 0.46 percent and sWIG80 0.28 percent. The volume of trade was low. Shares worth PLN 1.2bn changed hands, including PLN 0.8bn traded by blue chips.
PKO BP bank rose 3.33 percent, rival Pekao 4.57 percent while KGHM
copper producer rose 2.10 percent. TVN TV broadcaster ended 4.57 percent up on
very good fourth quarter results. Agora media group rose along with TVN. The
stock ended 4.81 percent up. Amika white home appliances producer rebounded
15.04 percent. Swarzedz furniture producer jumped 16.67 percent.
