The number of companies strategic for Poland dropped from 17 to 13.

KGHM, BOT, TP, Polkomtel and Exatel disappeared from the list of companies with vital meaning for public security. PGE energy group replaced PSE. Tauron, which similarly to PGE produces over 15 percent of the country’s energy, is also part of the list. “PB” said that the list would be shortened from 17 to 13 companies in March. KGHM disappeared from the list, because copper is not a strategic commodity. BOT is no longer part of the group as it is dependant from PGE. Polkomtel, Exatel and TP do not have telecommunication infrastructure provided in the law. TP-Emitel has such infrastructure and it remained on the list.
