Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) - The state-owned agency will take over the naval shipyard. Within 3-5 years it will sell its 'civil' companies from Szczecin and Gdynia.
The Industrial Development Agency (ARP) modified its shipyard strategy according to the new government's plans.
According to previous plans, we wanted to build The Polish Shipyard Corporation (KPS) which would consolidate the sector. Now, it is not expected to generate income. The shipyards will. Stocznia Szczecinska Nowa shipyard has already started bringing income. In 3-5 years we are going to sell it", Arkadiusz Krezel, ARP CEO said.
The agency will also try to sell the 20 percent stake in Stocznia Gdynia.
ARP will withdraw from civil ship production. It will take over Stocznia Marynarki Wojennej, the naval shipyard in Gdynia.
"We want the shipyard to be part of foreign armament projects. We have already started talks with Indonesia, the PT Pao shipyard in Surabai. The Polish government is to give the country the second part of USD 260m of credit for acquisitions in our country. We want part of these funds to be spent for cooperation with the naval shipyard", Arkadiusz Krezel added.
In the first part of the credit, Poland offered USD 140m to Indonesia.
Companies from ARP group delivered 6 choppers and 14 SkyTruck planes at that time.
