The program Innovative Economy which has just been approved by the European Commission should bring EUR 9.7bn to Poland. The funds must be spent till 2013 for research and development, innovation and IT projects. The majority of funds will be split in tenders. Several dozens key projects have already been approved of. There are IT projects worth nearly EUR 1bn among them. The majority of tenders will be launched next year. They may start a boom for listed IT companies which generate their sales mainly in services for the public sector. Meanwhile, nearly all ministries will have some projects.
Asseco, Comarch and Sygnity have the biggest chances for big contracts. There is a tender to deliver medical services system to the ministry of health worth EUR200m. The ministry has additional EUR 74m for e-services, modernization, and a health consulting platform. Experts say, Sygnity and ABG Spin with Asseco have the biggest chances. They will have, however, to win with giants including IBB or HP. Comarch may be another winner here.
The second largest project is electronic ID card worth EUR 110m. Sygnity and Asseco are the most possible winners. The Ministry of Finance will chose the company to launch e-taxes program worth EUR 45m and e-tax declaration worth EUR 27m just to mention the biggest projects.
