Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – ITI plans to launch advertising campaign in September and have several dozen thousand of clients in December. ITI Group, which plans to launch digital platform in fall, has very ambitious plans.“We want to be the leader on the market as far as the number of clients is concerned. We have all the advantages needed: staff, technology, programs and – first of all – an attitude focused on our clients’ satisfaction”, Boguslaw Kulakowski, ITI deputy CEO for technology, research and development said.Today, Canal Plus and Cyfrowy Polsat operate on the digital TV market. According to their head’s estimates, the two companies have jointly 1.5m of clients: at the beginning of this year, Cyfrowy Polsat said it had 700,000 of them and Canal Plus – 800,000. Boguslaw Kulakowski refused to give the deadline for ITI to become number one on the market. “It will take several years. Much depends on what our competitors do. If the two platforms consolidate, it will take longer to realize the plans”, Boguslaw Kulakowski said. The CEOs of the two existing platforms have repeated for a long time that consolidation is necessary.ITI is going to launch advertising campaign in the middle of September, according to unofficial sources.“We want to get several dozen thousands of new clients till the end of this year”, Boguslaw Kulakowski said.In his opinion, ITI will win because it will offer new services, including HDTV, dolby sound, PVR and a virtual film library.“ITI is naive if they believe that the platforms operating today are not working over modern technologies. PVR will be implemented in fall. We also consider HDTV, we already used HD standard when we transmitted football matches this year”, Dominik Libicki, Cyfrowy Polsat CEO said. ITI Group deputy CEO believes that the investment will soon become profitable.“It will quickly bring money. Besides, ITI is going to have a distribution network and clients who no longer will be anonymous”, he said.Canal Plus started to generate income after 10 years of operations. Cyfrowy Polsat has not managed to generate an income which would repeat in several straight years.ITI refused to talk about investment connected with the digital platform. The company has already employed 100 people, it is also going to launch a call center in Krakow. According to the media, the project is worth PLN 150m (EUR 38.4m).(PLN 1 = EUR 0.256)
