Kulczyk junior launches a fund investing in high-tech companies

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Phenomind Ventures, a venture capital fund headed by son of well-known investor Jan Kulczyk, will invest in high-tech companies.

The fund is headed by Sebastian Kulczyk and Michal Grzybowski. It will present its plans next week but “PB” has managed to get access to the details. Phenomind will invest in start-ups and new companies. It will provide not only the capital needed to develop the firms but also offer knowhow. Phenomind’s portfolio consists of Goldensubmarine, an agency of interactive marketing with such clients like Amica, Coty or Media Markt. The fund has also stake in Beyond.pl, one of Poland’s biggest server companies, Bilans 24 (a bookkeeping office), Games-net.pl (portal with online computer games), My Place Development – a homebuilding company and E24, operator of coffee shops.

Phenomind Venturs will invest in companies connected with the internet, modern media, online trade and entertainment. Two listed funds have the same scope of operations: MCI and IQ Partners.
