The Warsaw stock market fell heavily yesterday with banks bearing the brunt of the fall with losses of around five percent generally across the board. Foreign markets also performed very badly with the FTSE losing 1.4 percent and DAX and CAC40 each losing around 2.1 percent. The WIG noted a fall of 1.7 percent to 14,859 points and the WIG20 fell through the 1,300 points mark to 1,287 points — a loss of 2.1 percent on the day.
