MCI Management, the fund specializing in technology projects with headquarters in Wroclaw, is finalizing its first mega project. Details will be published tomorrow at a press conference.
So far, MCI has invested mainly in small start-ups dealing in internet, mobile services and biotechnology sectors. The projects would not exceed PLN 20m (EUR 5.3m). At the end of last year, the company employed Anna Hejka, who for the last 15 years has been working on private equity market in Poland and abroad. She is responsible for big tickets.
The fund suggested before that it would invest in a paneuropean IT holding with operations in six countries. The project should be worth PLN 50-100m. The transaction will be leveraged and its value will probably be several times higher. MCI has very good financial results. Last Friday, the stock closed at PLN 24.
