Merrill Lynch subsidiary invests in Poland

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Czech Pinnacle launches operations in Poland.

Pinnacle Central and Eastern Europe, the Czech logistic provider co-owned by Marrill Lynch, launched operations in Poland yesterday. The company has bought 35 ha of land near Poznan. A logistic park 176,000 square meters big will be built there. In the near future, the company wants to have 500,000 square meters of logistic centers. Till 2010, it wants to have a land bank allowing it to build 3m square meters of magazines, till 2012, the potential should grow to 5m square meters.

 

In Poland, Pinnacle faces competition from Goldman, a company listed on Australian stock exchange which has recently said it would start operations in Poland. Prologis is the market leader today with 1.37m square meters of magazines.
