Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – German Petro Carbo Chem bought Tarnow and Kedzierzyn azote plants. It will invest much more than it previously expected.
Nafta Polska, the state-owned agency founded to privatize the Polish chemical sector, sold two other chemical plants: Tarnow and Kedzierzyn. PCC paid over PLN 100m (EUR 25.4m) for Kedzierzyn. It will invest PLN 360 in this plant. Tarnow cost PLN 365.8m, or PLN 29.8m more than it previously agreed. The investment project provides for up to PLN 500m.
PCC had to agree to NP’s demands because Anwil, a subsidiary of PKN Orlen fuel giant was ready to buy the azote plants instead.
