PKP in trouble
If Polish state railways PKP do not say how they are going to pay for 42 locomotives bought from ADtranz Pafawag Wrocław before 30 July then the matter will find itself in court. The former owner of ADtranz, DaimlerChrysler, together with the current owner, the Canadian Bombardier, will not only demand compensation for the value of the contract (PLN630-672m) but will also want to see the privatisation contract for Pafawag Wrocław annulled together with the return of the USD25m invested in the firm.
