Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – At the end of this week, the arbitrary hearing is going to take place, in which Eureko has sued the Polish government.
The Dutch holding owning nearly a 21 percent stake in PZU, Poland’s former monopoly insurer, claims that the Polish government has broken the rules concerning the treatment of foreign investors. Eureko wants to increase its stake in PZU but the Polish government has stopped negotiations. Eureko demands that PZU is listed so that it could buy the
shares of the Polish company.
‘The decision will be announced probably at the end of the year. We believe that Eureko’s investment is well protected. We hope to win although there are voices saying that the other party is right’, Jacek Socha, Poland’s Treasury Minister said© ℗
