Poland: Kamis seasonings producer increases capacity

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Kamis, Poland’s seasonings and mustard producer with a market share of, respectively 46 percent and 30 percent, is planning to increase exports. ‘At the end of 2004, we won several international tenders to deliver seasonings and mustard to big European retailers’, Robert Kaminski, Kamis CEO and owner said.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Kamis, Poland’s seasonings and mustard producer with a market share of, respectively 46 percent and 30 percent, is planning to increase exports. ‘At the end of 2004, we won several international tenders to deliver seasonings and mustard to big European retailers’, Robert Kaminski, Kamis CEO and owner said. To meet the demand, the company bought new equipment and is building storing houses. The investment is worth over PLN 25 m (EUR 6.2 m).

Kamis has also invested over PLN 6 m in SAP IT system and sales managing system. The company is increasing exports to Russia, Ukraine and Romania, where it has its distribution subsidiaries. ‘In 2004, our exports to Russia grew by 80 percent and to the other two countries by nearly half’, Robert Kaminski said. Kamis sales grew to PLN 219 m, or 9 percent in 2004. This year, sales are to grow by 16 percent. The CEO refused to publish net income.
