Warsaw (Puls biznesu) - Barlinek, the Polish producer of batten, will invest PLN 40 milion (EUR 9,2 milion) in the new plant. It will be situated in Kostrzyń SSE (special economic area around Kostrzyń), that is being enlarged at the moment. After changes of SSE's area, it will border on so far existing plant of Barlinek.

To set any plant in the area of special zone (and to obtain special tax privileges) it is necessary either to invest PLN 40 milion or employ 500 people.

-We chose the first condition - said Paweł Wrona, CEO in Barlinek.

The details of the new investments should be given in 2-3 following month, but it is already known that all products will be exported. At the same time Barlinek is opening the new plant in Ukraine. The company decided to postpone going public untill the turn of 2003and 2005.
