Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Radwar, a Warsaw-based scientific centre producing professional electronics, has sold to the Ministry of Defence (MON) its air-raid system Loara. This is the first of five systems to be bought by the Polish army in the next five years. ‘MON is going to spend about PLN 150 million (EUR 35.9 million) for the project’, Janusz Zemke, deputy Minister of Defence said.
It took 10 years to prepare the Loara system and PLN 300 million of funds. Apart from Radwar, the main designer, 19 companies, army entities and R&D centres took part in the project. ‘Loara may become our exports hit’, Roman Baczynski, Bumar CEO said. Eastern countries are already interested in the system.
