Police announce tender worth over PLN 100m

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Police have announced tender to implement an IT system which will be revolutionary. This is good news for IT companies.

 

The command support system should be revolutionary for the Polish police. A tender has already been announced. Police have PLN 500m (EUR 132.5m) for all IT projects.

“The command support system project must cost at least PLN 100m. This is one of the biggest IT tenders in the recent years”, a representative of one of potential bidders said.

The last big IT tender was announced in 2003 and concerned car and drivers evidence system. Softbank, today Asseco, won the project worth PLN 230m. Other tenders used to be split or delayed.

This year, the biggest projects implemented by the police include buying new cars (PLN 119.8m this year), incentives for policemen (PLN 285m), modernizing and building new offices (PLN 190.1m).
