A record increase in industrial orders in the United States gave European stock markets a welcome boost. Here the WIG20 gained an extra 3.4 percent to 1,162 points and the WIG 2.5 percent to 13,810 points.

Although Elektrim lost a further five percent, it was smiles for the stock holders of the major quoted companies. BRE bank gained 2.7 percent, Computerland 6.6 percent, KGHM 4.6 percent, PKN Orlen 4.7 percent, Prokom seven percent and TPSA five percent.
