Pulawy, Poland’s biggest nitrogen fertilizer producer, wants to invest in ecology. The company needs to do it in order to meet the requirements of the Kyoto protocol providing for limiting emission of gases. On July 24th, the GSM of Pulawy is going to make decision concerning cooperation with BASF, the German chemical giant. BASF offered to Pulawy to implement a project which has already proved well in BASF installations.
Thanks to the installation, Pulawy will be able to sell part of its rights to emit gases to BASF. In the years 2008-12, it would earn PLN 40m annually.
