PZU plans expansion

Zygmunt Kostkiewicz, MD of insurers PZU, says in an interview in today’s Puls Biznesu that his company has PLN2bn for expansion and that the company intends to buy several central European companies together with its strategic investor Eureko. The company is already negotiating with the Lithuanian Lindra and Slovenian Poistowny. Kostkiewicz does not rule out any lay offs in the future as restructuring goes ahead but notes that the agreement on job security does not finish until Nobember.
