The privatisation of the Gdańsk refinery seems to have got stuck with no investor making the final kilometre. However Nafta Polska now seems to be considering taking both the Hungarian MOL and Russian Jukos into the business together.
If this link up happened the strength of these companies would be sufficient to protect the refinery from expansion from PKN Orlen. To make the matters more complicated there are now rumours on the market that the consortium might be joined by Bartimpex led by businessman Aleksander Gudzowaty.
