Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Having withdrawn from BOS bank, SEB is building its Polish group anew. This time, retail clients and ecology projects will not be in the offer. The bank wants, however, to serve the old clients.

Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) which in summer withdrew from Polish BOS has just launched in Warsaw its first unit.

“We want to focus on corporate clients. There are over 2,000 companies from Scandinavia, Germany and the Baltic region. This is our potential target group”, Veine Svensson, the head of SEB in Poland said.

He hopes for BOS clients as well.

“A big part of BOS foreign clients came to this bank because SEB was his investor. Now that we have launched our own division, they have a choice”, Veine Svensson stressed.

According to “PB” sources, SEB had about 400 Scandinavian clients.

In addition, SEB will launch the private banking services early next year. The strategy does not provide for retail operations or special pro-ecological programs.
