Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Today, investors did not trade much. Shares of the WIG20 index worth PLN 190 m (EUR 45.9 m) changed hands, the same level as last Tuesday at the worst session this year. The index lost 0.65 percent to 1,952.43.
TPSA telecom and PKN Orlen fuel giant noted both the volume of trade of over PLN 30 m. Both fell, TPSA of 1.4 percent and PKN of 0.7 percent. KGHM was the only blue chip which gained (1 percent) while shares worth PLN 20 m changed hands. Prokom IT rebounded after two days of diving.
Among small and medium companies, Wolczanka clothes producer rose after OFE PZU Zlota Jesien pension fund increased its stake in the company to 14.31 percent. Further acquisitions are possible, the fund said.
This week, the WIG20 index has lost nearly 2 percent, and WIG shed 1.7 percent. But investors could find good opportunities. Irena, glass plant, rose 9 percent after the securities and exchange commission allowed three companies to exceed the 50 percent level at its shareholders’ meeting. Today, they hold a 15 percent stake.
