Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The owner of Sheraton brand is going to spend EUR 4m next year to renovate its hotels in Poland and to launch a spa in Sopot which will be the biggest in the region.

Till the end of this year, Sheraton hotels will have invested EUR 2m to renovate Polish buildings. Next year, the amount will be similar. Some hotels will be developed others will have a club store. Besides, the company will launch a conference center with an exclusive spa at the sea.

“The center will be launched in the middle of 2009. It will be the biggest such center in this region of Europe. I’m also going to continue to develop the network in resorts like Zakopane or Mikolajki but I cannot tell you more details”, Thomas Schoen, Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Poland general director said.

So far, four Sheraton hotels have been launched in Poland (in Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan and Sopot). “PB” has recently informed that another one may be launched in Jurata at the sea where today Neptun hotel owned by PKO BP is located.

“No comment. But I must tell that Jurata is an interesting place for such investment”, Thomas Schoen added.

He expects a 10 percent growth of guest number in Polish Sheraton hotels next year. This year through October, over 190,000 people were guests at Sheraton.
