Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) As of January 1st 2006, the monopoly of Poczta Polska, the state-owned post, will be further limited. The weight of packages reserved for Poczta Polska will decrease from 350 g today to 50 grams. But there is no revolution to be expected.
Development in IT sector causes that sending letters is less and less popular. Companies aim to give up paper documents, Rafal Nawloka, Masterling general director explained.
Even full liberalization of the market, to be implemented in 2009, may not lure shipping companies to compete with Poczta Polska.
The technology will be so highly developed at that time that it will be safer to send and authorize documents via internet, Masterlink¹s director added.
DHL Express Poland is also not going to change its offer next year, according to Aleksander Morozowski, DHL Express Poland CEO.
