Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Andrzej Kuchar, a businessman controlling nearly 75 percent of Polskie Media, the owner of TV4 television broadcasting network, considers to sell the stake. ‘In the media market, consolidation will gradually take place, and we are interested to take part in the process’, the owner of Trans Media Group said. Polsat, Poland’s second largest commercial TV broadcaster seems to be a natural buyer as it has many joint projects with TV4. ‘I haven’t heard about it. I wouldn’t like to comment on it at all’, Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, the owner and chairman of Polsat said.
‘Big players will enter Poland, and then we’ll see, what happens’, Andrzej Kuchar said. The transaction will be conducted in the future. Today, the company is still paying back the debts made by Nasza Telewizja, its predecessor. PLN 15 m (EUR 3.6 m) of debts are still burdening the company, which has recently broken even.
