Warsaw Stock Exchange dragged down by the Wall Street and KGHM

The Warsaw Stock Exchange followed U.S. markets and fell. Small and mid-caps did a little bit better then blue chips.

The WIG20 index lost 1.13 percent to 3,687 today. The decrease was widely expected because of two reasons. KGHM copper conglomerate stock dived 1.3 percent. U.S. exchanges ended over 1 percent down yesterday.

The 20 share blue chips index was down all day long. In the afternoon the Wall Street opened down, which further dragged down the Polish market. Shares of blue chips worth PLN 876m changed hands.

Small and mid-caps did a little bit better. mWIG40 lost 0.23 percent to 5,650.84. Friday session does not look optimistic. The U.S. markets opened down.
