Warsaw indices lost over 4 percent each with Techwig ending as much as over 5.2 percent down. 287 companies, or over 95 percent of listed stock, ended down with only 8 firms, or 2.6 percent ending up. WIG20 dropped 4.47 percent to 3,325.47 points, WIG fell 4.4 percent to 52,906.36 points while MIDWIG shed 4.7 percent to 4,242.1 points.
KGHM and Bioton were the worst performers among
blue chips. The copper and insulin producers lost over 7 percent each. Bioton
presented financial results in the morning which were far worse then expected.
GTC homebuilder and Prokom IT company dropped sharply. Kety aluminium company
was the only blue chip to end up. The stock rose 4.8 percent although it was
falling all day long. FAM and Redan were the worst performers out of smaller
caps, with over 15 percent decreases.
