One of the richest Poles is again under attack (of media and prosecution). The accounts of Prokom Investments (PI) may be checked. It is said to be related with the 4Media scandal and money laundering. The prosecutor from Sopot Zbigniew Niemczyk refused to make any comments ‘for the sake of investigation’. Meanwhile Prokom is surprised; one of the managers said they lent money, that was not returned, to companies connected with 4Media, and there was no money laundering.
Yesterday Prokom issued their statement and Krzysztof Krol, the company spokesperson says that Prokom is the aggrieved party in the 4Media case.
The case itself has been investigated since 2003. 4Media was to create a strong media holding but it was a complete fiasco. The company had enormous debts, manipulated with information, and the management had to be checked by the stock exchange supervisors and the prosecutor’s office.
The bill of indictment was brought to court in July 2007. one person is accused of using confidential information and two others may be guilty of giving false information to the investors.
‘There was no mention of Krauze’s company in these operations. But maybe they found something now’ a person close to the investigation says.
