WIG20 is only 3 percent below its record level

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – WIG and WIRR hit their all time records for the second consecutive day. MIDWIG rose to a new high. WIG20 grew most but it has not reached its maximum yet.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – WIG and WIRR hit their all time records for the second consecutive day. MIDWIG rose to a new high. WIG20 grew most but it has not reached its maximum yet.

The 20 share blue chips index needs to grow 3 percent to reach its record as of May 11th of 3,347.83 points. Today, it ended at 3,251.01 points. Within three days it has rebounded the losses generated in nine days. PKO BP whose labor shares were traded for the second day jumped 5.4 percent to its all-time record of PLN 41.95. Shares worth PLN 462m changed hands, while on Monday it was PLN 630m. In two days, 13.65m shares of PKO BP changed hands, or 13 percent of the labor shares. The other banks gained: BZ WBK attracted PLN 163m of trade while Bank BPH – PLN 111m.

 TP continues the growth trend. The stock rose to PLN 24.3, the highest level since January 12th. Agora media group which published weak results but better then expected rose 7.1 percent to PLN 31.6. Fuel companies were not doing particularly well. PKN Orlen lost 1.1 percent while Lotos 1.9 percent to PLN 47.2 and 46.1 respectively. PGNiG shed 0.9 percent to PLN 3.19.
