Stock of small and mid-caps is being sold out by small investors. Even fund managers withheld from acquisitions in March and announced record 43 statements informing about decreasing their stakes.
On Wednesday, the WIG0 index ended slightly up but smaller companies were losing. More companies decreased than grew.
KGHM copper conglomerate rose 3 percent on increasing copper prices. Pekao and PKO BP, Poland’s two largest bank also paced the advances. Bioton insulin producer fell 4 percent for the worst performer among blue chips. Bankier online portal rose on the news that Agora media group might acquire it.
The volume of trade exceeded slightly PLN 1bn.
