Announcements from listed companies added life to today’s listing. The blue chips fell following the European trend. The volume of trade, however, was very low.

The WIG20 index dived 1 percent early in the morning and dropped below 1,700 points. The blue chips index was trading even 3 percent during the day but ended 2 percent down. Shares worth PLN 0.6bn changed hands. Investors were selling the stock of Ryszard Krauze companies, especially Bioton and Petrolinvest. The insulin producer dived over 8 percent after it had published a net loss in the third quarter. The oil company shed 13 percent. Polnord construction company lost 6.2 percent. Pol-Aqua construction company dived 30 percent on the news that it had revised down its annual forecasts and that its CEO had no funds to increase his stake. Immoeast Austrian homebuilding company gained 12.8 percent. The stock rebounded after last week’s dive caused by an evaluation from an analyst who said its stock was worth PLN 0. Investors decided it is not that bad today.
