WSE trades at its low for another day

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Just before the MPC meeting in the USA ends, Warsaw investors nearly stopped from trading. The session did not change the market, the volume of trade was nearly at this year’s low of PLN 730m.

The WIG20 index opened nearly 1 percent up, quickly reached 2,666 points but did not manage to exceed it. Just after the Polish MPC said it was raising interest rates, the WIG20 was trading lower than yesterday. Then, however, it ended 0.3 percent.

The advances were paced by Pekao bank which jumped 2.7 percent. KGHM copper producer and PKO BP bank rose about 1 percent each. PKN Orlen fuel giant lost 1.1 percent. Other fuel companies, including Grupa Lotos and Petrolinvest also ended in the red. mWIG40 index managed not to fall but sWIG80 disappointed again.
