Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Agora has launched a new business. It will offer ads directed to women.

Agora media group, the publisher of “Gazeta Wyborcza” daily, has launched Glossy Media, a company offering internet ads.

“The potential of this type of advertisement is located in magazines. We would like the ads from the magazines to shift to the internet”, Katarzyna Rucinska, Glossy Media managing director said.

The magazine advertisement market was worth PLN  640.7m (EUR 166.6m)  in the first three quarters of the year while online advertising amounted to PLN 573.5m, according to Starlink media house. Women constitute half of all internet users in Poland.

There are four brokers of online advertisement on the market, including ARBOMedia, Ad.Net, IDMNet, Ad-Vice. Agora estimates that they have jointly 20 percent of the market. At first, Glossy Media wants to use Agora thematic portals directed to women.
