The WIG20 index opened 1.17 percent down but an hour later it was trading below 1,600 points and was one of the worst performers in Europe. Even the fact that Moody’s agency confirmed the rating perspectives for Poland at A2 did not influence stock investors. KGHM copper producer was losing even 9 percent during the day. Smaller companies did slightly better today. ADS was growing on the news that the company will buy back its shares. Synthgos and Signity rose substantially. Sygnity has already jumped 50 percent since its October low. Enea energy company which had its IPO yesterday, dropped.
The WIG20 index shed 3.86 percent today. Bioton insulin producer, TVN media
group and GTC construction company were among the worst blue chips.
