On Sunday treasury minister Wiesław Kaczmarek said that there is no longer any question of selling the pan European Eureko consortium a further stake in the company. On Monday Arnold Hoevernaars declared in Newsweek that he has lost confidence in the Polish government and reminds the state that the sales agreement for a 21 percent stake in PZU agreed by the former government is still legally binding. On face value, the two year war within PZU for control of the company does not seem to have damaged the company which is still producing healthy results. However one might ask what the results would have been had not this politically provoked conflict placing personal ambitions against a foreign investor happened.
