Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Slovak subsidiary of the Polish IT company plans to issue shares to buy a company in the Czech Republic.

Asseco Poland, which two years ago acquired Slovakian Asseco to become a leading IT company in this country, is planning to enter the Czech Republic. The transaction will be made via the Slovakian subsidy.

“We are leading advanced talks with several Czech companies interested in joining our group. The Czech candidate must have similar size and have similar market share as the present members of the group”, Jozef Klein, Asseco Slovakia CEO said.

His company has 30 percent of the Slovakian market.

It wants to raise funds for the acquisition by issuing shares in the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The issue prospectus is being prepared and should be submitted to FMA, the Slovakian peer of the Polish securities and exchange commission in the middle of May. The offer will be worth several dozen million zlotys. Asseco Slovakia would be the first Slovakian company to be listed in Warsaw.

“We would like every company joining the Asseco group to be listed in Warsaw”, Adam Goral, the CEO and main shareholder of Asseco said.
