Austrian Warimpex plans IPO in Warsaw and Vienna

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Austrian developer is planning its listing in Poland and Austria in the first months of this year.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Austrian developer is planning its listing in Poland and Austria in the first months of this year. 

Warimpex, a developer and a hotel company, is planning its IPO in Warsaw and Vienna.

“The offer will be conducted soon”, Aleksandra Klimont-Bodzinska from Media&Doradztwo responsible for press contacts of Warimpex in Poland said.

Press conference with details concerning the offer will be conducted on January 12th. Warimpex plans investments on the Polish hotel market.

“These are going to be greenfield projects”, Aleksandra Klimont-Bodzinska added. 

At the beginning of November Warimpex Finanz und Beteiligungs along with Europa Capital, a group of funds, bought 100 percent in Jan III Sobieski company, the owner of a Warsaw hotel with the same name, and the owner of a stake in InterContinental hotel. The company is building similar hotels in Krakow, Katowice and Warszawa, as well as a shopping mall in Bialystok, a hotel in the Czech Republic and an apartment building in Hungary.  

In 2005, Warimpex had EUR 40m of sales and EUR 35m of gross income. Today, only one hotel operator is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange – Orbis controlled by French Accor.
