With the fate of PZU privatisation hanging in the balance, a number of banks including Citibank, Societe Generale and BRE amongst others have been buying up stock of the insurance company which was alloted to the workforce. The company is not quoted on the stock exchange but there is a „black market” of shares assigned to the staff. Employees may need the cash now and the banks may find that this speculation pays off handsomely.
