No blue chip rose today. Cersanit sanitary equipment producer managed to resist substantial decreases, while PGNiG gas monopoly PKN Orlen and Grupa Lotos fuel giants did better than the WIG20 index despite falling oil prices.

Out of small and mid-caps, the majority of companies traded in the red. There are, however, several companies which have resisted the downward trend for several months already, including Bakalland delicacies distributor, Cyfrowy Polsat TV company and Novitus fund.

Data from the central statistical office GUS concerning October industrial production and production prices confirmed that Polish economy is slowing down. The WSE dived in the afternoon. The WIG20 index ended 5.79 percent down, below 1,550 points. Agora media group and Bioton insulin producer noted double-digit decreases while Asseco IT company, Cersanit and Grupa Lotos did relatively well.
