The WSE opened up after good closing on the US markets on Wednesday. Then, however, the indices started to fall. The market was adversely affected by the news that the prosecutor’s office has allegations against Ryszard Krauze, the investor controlling Bioton insulin producer, IT companies Prokom Software and Asseco Polska as well as Petrolinvest fuel firm.
The latter was the worst performer today with a dive of 19.8 percent to PLN 360. The other companies were losing over 10 percent each. WIG20 closed at 3,497.06 points, or 2.11 percent lower. WIG dropped 1.5 percent to 59,061.57 points. Shares worth PLN 2.01 billion changed hands.
