Chemists aim at their own market
Next week the treasury will have to make a decision on the privatisation of pharmaceutical company Cefarm Warszawa. Alongside two major pharmaceuticals wholesalers, Farmacol and PGF, a new firm is running, the consortium of chemists' wholesalers — Konsorcjum Hurtowni Aptekarskich (KHA).
KHA links eleven companies and is led by Kielce based Apofarm. If it is able to beat the competition in the race to acquire Cefarm then it sees quick consolidation and a 25 percent market share by the end of next year.
