The Dutch Eureko, the second largest shareholder in PZU insurance company, is going to file a suit in the court accusing the Polish Ministry of the Treasure for infringement of personal interest.
The investor means several sentences from the communiqué published on the website of the ministry concerning dividing the income of PZU. The Ministry said that it was approving to pay out 50 percent of income as dividend but it was aware of the fact that the minority shareholder owning 32 percent of shares (the name Eureko is not mentioned), will spend the funds to attack the Polish government.Two days after the GSM, Ernst Jansen, Eureko deputy CEO, wrote a letter to Pawel Szalamacha, the deputy Minister of the Treasure, demanding public excuse to be made within three days. Eureko says that Pawel Szalamacha signed the letter but there is no signature on the website. The deputy Minister of the Treasure reminds that Eureko promised to solve all clashes would be solved by Polish courts.“Eureko showed no respect to a country where it wants to run its business”, Pawel Szalamacha said.
