Stock markets across Europe were negative on Wednesday with the WIG20 falling 1.5 percent to fall below the psycological 1,198 points barrier. The WIG also lost 1.3 percent to fall to 13,987 points. The FTSE in London lost around 0.5 percent, CAC 40 in Paris 1.5 percent and the DAX 0.4 percent. The currency markets remained comparitively stable after Tuesday’s 2.5 percent fall for PLN but that was said to be only because the new treasury minister, Grzegorz Kołodko, is keeping his mouth shut as to what his policies will be.
