Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Fischer Air Polska, charter airline owned by Czech K&K, had 220,000 passengers in 2005. It wants to increase this number by over 120 percent this year.
Till the end of 2006, we will have 500-600,000 people, Adam Wychowaniec, managing director of Fischer Air Polska said.
The airline started operations on May 14th. It had PLN 100m (EUR 26m) of sales.
This year, we expect PLN 300m of sales, Krzysztof Szymanski from the board of directors said.
The company has USD 1m of capital and USD 5m of assets. Within upcoming days, it will raise the capital. Apart from increasing the number of routes, it is going to invest in its own training center for pilots. It will launch routes to Sri Lanka, Cuba, Venezuela, or Mexico. Fischer Air estimates its market share at 20 percent of the charter market.
Till the end of this year, we want to increase it to 45 percent, Krzysztof Szymanski added.
